It does not matter what time of the year you
come, these rooms will always be comfortable and relaxing.
The Sprecher Dorm is the ideal location for your overnight
events with groups of 20 to 50 that plan to use the Sprecher
Dining Hall as their primary meeting location. A convenient
staircase between floors gets you from your sleeping quarters
to the large inviting area of the dining hall.
The Sprecher Dorm, which is centrally located
on Bethel Park, has 13 nicely decorated rooms. Each room is
equipped with a sink and mirror, while the bed layout is slightly
different in each room. The typical room will have either
a King, Queen, Full or twin bed(s). Eight rooms have a Futon
Bunk bed as well. Twelve rooms share a lavatory and shower
between two rooms, with the thirteenth room having a private
bathroom.
During the winter season of 2001 – 2002, the dorm underwent
another transformation. At this time new interior walls, insulations,
carpeting, light fixtures, windows, window treatments and
heating & air units were installed. A volunteer work force
completed much of the renovations.
The Dorm is the second floor of the Dining Hall, built in
1947. It is named after a former Superintendent of the German
District of the Assemblies of God - Reverend Alvin Sprecher.
