November 16, 2004 - FoBPM board has updated the contract with Here-4-You Consulting, our grant writing service, to include the review and updating of our 501c3, constitution, and by-laws documents to support the grant fund raising process. Jeffrey Rodman will also provide recommendations for profitable non-profit activities BPM could engage to further increase fund raising activities.

November 5 - 7, 2004 - Our grant writer, Jeffrey Rodman, spent time at Bethel Park getting to know the Board, our operations and goals. A very productive weekend.

November 4th, 2004 - The German District A/G received a 'clean' 'unqualified audit of its 2003 bookkeeping. Both terms 'clean' and 'unqualified' are the best types of audit a firm can receive. Since we are seeking funds to renovate Bethel Park, we needed to show we are fiscally responsible.

September 8, 2004 - BPM signed the contract with our Grant Writer, Jeffrey Rodman of Here-4-You Consulting. We are expecting the first Grant Proposal to go out in approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Please pray for guidance and that the recipients of these proposals see the potential of BPM!

August 30, 2004 - BPM Board, Leroy Troyer from the Troyer Group, and Cary Summers of the Nehemiah Group met for a lunch meeting. After this meeting several key quotes (prices) were presented to BPM for consideration.

  • From the Troyer Group One Source - a total of approximately $75,000 in services regarding the Consultation, Conceptual Design, and Statement of Probable cost.
  • The Nehemiah Group - $25,000 for Market Research, Concept, Marketing, Financial's.

Both companies involved are managed by Christian men who have a heart for serving the Lord and helping faith-based organization grow.

Paraphrased comment from Cary Summers, "The family oriented Conference & Family entertainment sector is one the fastest growing markets in the United States."

August 17, 2004 – Helmut Krebs and Hardy Rueb met with Bank One (Michigan) to establish a checking account for Bethel Park Ministries. Our first funds have been deposited.

August 16, 2004 – A letter from the IRS arrived in today’s mail. Our Federal Employment Identification Number was issued and we received an official letter recognizing this entity.

August 12th, 2004 – While doing some research, Hardy Rueb happened to find a web site that has again confirmed our way is being led step by step by the Holy Spirit. Dialogue has begun between Bethel Park Ministries and a firm that handles fund raising. They specialize in grants for faith based non profit organizations. This gentlemen’s track record is impeccable and his resume is outstanding. We will discuss more on this when this business arrangement has been secured.

August 3rd, 2004 - Bethel Park Ministries Board of Directors met with the Troyer Group, Inc. The Troyer Group, Inc is projected to partner with us regarding the future of this project. We feel very confident this business relationship will be symbiotic and is another sign that God is guiding our every step. The meeting went very well and our board left the meeting with a better understanding of what we must do to accomplish this major project.

July 28th, 2004 - Bethel Park Ministries filed the necessary forms for being recognized as a separate entity within the state of Michigan. Bethel Park Ministries was incorporated on July 30th, 2004. We believe another miracle happened because the various sources we spoke to regarding incorporation were; it will take at least 15 to 30 days. Ours took 2 days from filing to have the state of Michigan signing this form. We continue to Praise the Lord!

July 10th, 2004 – German District Council voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the Bethel Park Feasibility, Vision, & Expansion Committee to create a new ministry. That new ministry is called Bethel Park Ministries. During Family Camp 2004, Bethel Park Ministries began excepting members into its roster named Friends of Bethel Park Ministries (FoBPM). As of July 25th, 2004 we have reached a total of 124 FoBPM. Praise the Lord!
